Every year the IMI holds an annual meeting and expo to have the opportunity to show-case our region and the benefits of coal. However, this year the event will be called the Illinois Basin Coal and Mining Expo to combine the IMI counterparts in Indiana and Kentucky making the show even better than before. The IMI, Indiana Coal Council, Hoosiers Count on Coal, and Kentucky Coal Association are all organizations that promote mining-related activities. Our members are industry professionals throughout the Illinois Basin, including educators, and state and governmental organizations.
