EIA's Coal Markets Report: July 5, 2022

 


July 5, 2022 - The Coal Markets Report has been updated for the business week ending July 1, 2022. This release includes data for three weeks: two weeks that were delayed because of EIA’s system outage (June 20 and June 27 scheduled releases), in which all prices remained unchanged, and the current week. The next release will be on its regular schedule of Monday, July 11, 2022.


For the week, spot prices:
  • Increased $29.25 to $168.05 in Central Appalachia
  • Increased $31.40 to $141.30 in Northern Appalachia
  • Increased $64.25 to $190.25 in Illinois Basin
  • Increased $1.10 to $40.65 in Uinta Basin

All other spot prices have remained unchanged from the week ending June 24, 2022.

Spot prices are in dollars per short ton and are for delivery in the third quarter of 2022.
