March 13, 2025 - EIA has updated the Weekly Coal Production report for the week ending March 8, 2025.

• Estimated U.S. coal production totaled about 10.3 million short tons (MMst)
• This production estimate is 3.2% lower than last week's estimate and 5.1% higher than the production estimate in the comparable week in 2024
• East of the Mississippi River coal production totaled 4.9 MMst
• West of the Mississippi River coal production totaled 5.4 MMst
• U.S. year-to-date coal production totaled 94.5 MMst, 4.9% lower than the comparable year-to-date coal production in 2024
