Dr. Guasta will overview worker behavior and how to influence it. Registrants will learn two simple behavior science models that will provide an “inside understanding” of workers’ behavior and a proven feedback model that will improve communication skills to motivate and reinforce desired behavior in the workplace.

About the speaker: Dr. Lori Guasta is with the Energy, Mining, and Construction Industry Safety (EMCIS) program at the Colorado School of Mines. Her areas of expertise are organizational behavior, culture, and leadership. Her experience involves working for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Spokane Research Laboratory and she has more than 18 years of experience as a researcher and college instructor.
