L-3 Global Security & Engineering Solutions (L-3 GS&ES) announced that Lee Supply Co. (Charleroi, Pa.) and DSA Sales Associates (Monessen, Pa.) have joined the L-3 team supporting the commercial deployment of L-3’s mine safety product line, including the MSHA- and State of West Virginia-approved, ACCOLADE Wireless Mesh system.

The ACCOLADE system was developed under a research and development contract from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and is the only MSHA-approved safety system that incorporates voice, data, and tracking capabilities into a single system. A complete prototype version of the system has already been deployed to an operational mine in West Virginia in preparation for immediate large-scale commercial sales and installations.
