2022 Rocky Mountain Mining Institute Pre-Conference Newsletter

We look forward to seeing everyone again in beautiful Snowmass Village on June 26-28! This year’s theme is “What’s Yours is MINED”. RMMI is dedicated to the promotion of mining through education and this year we would like to highlight the importance of our industry to the betterment of society. The inflationary times we are living through vividly remind us all of the problems society faces when supply of anything cannot keep up with demand for it.

Proudly, RMMI members work for companies that devote their time and energy supplying materials and services in ever more efficient and responsible ways. I personally believe that continuing to focus on supplying better is the best way to ensure future success for all of us.

We have a great slate of speakers this year that will both highlight innovations in improving supply while providing visibility into exciting future changes in the demands our industry must meet.

Just as importantly, we expect to have fun together while enjoying this beautiful setting on the golf course and up on the mountain for a BBQ at Elk Camp.

I look forward to seeing everyone there and I fully expect to have a smooth, peaceful transition of the RMMI presidency to my highly esteemed colleague Greg Mager at the end of the conference.

From the Executive Director, Judy Colgan
We are just a few days away from our annual meeting in Snowmass! It is a beautiful time of the year in the Roaring Fork Valley. Our golf tournament will be held at the River Valley Ranch in Carbondale, and Monday night's activities will be at Elk Camp at the top of the mountain, just a short gondola ride up. You will appreciate the beautiful scenery.

The speakers we have this year will address the state of global and domestic energy and environmental policies, new mining projects, and an interesting speaker about the energy required for bitcoin mining. Don't miss any of their presentations!

The Reverse Expo this year will have the following companies participating, and we will be reaching out to attendees to schedule 15 minute appointments with the companies of their choice in the next few days. The Reverse Expo will start around 10:30-11:00 am on Tuesday morning.
