Top 10 Miners Produce 52.2% of China's Coal Output in Jan-Aug
September 21, 2022 - China's 10 largest coal mining groups (in terms of production) represented 52.2% of China's total coal production over the first eight months, according to statistics released by China National Coal Association.
The share increased compared with 52% in the first seven months.
The top 10's aggregate raw coal production totaled 1.53 billion tonnes over January-August, up 130 million tonnes from the same period last year.
Total coal production of China's above-designated coal producers reached 2.93 billion tonnes during the period, an 11.0% rise year on year. August's output rose 8.1% on the year to 370 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, China imported 167.98 million tonnes of coal in the first eight months, down 14.9% from the previous year.
