Coal Fact for the Day: Affordable, Coal-Fired Electricity
March 3, 2023 - In December 2022, West Virginia (91% coal fired) had some of the lowest electric rates in the country.
The Mountain State’s average price of power per kilowatt hour was $2.45 less than the national average and $0.69 less than the next cheapest of our surrounding states.
