September 13, 2023 - Traffic along Interstate 70 near the West Virginia-Pennsylvania line will be limited to one lane from Tuesday into December.

The reason? Tunnel Ridge is, again, performing long wall mining operations under the road.

Crews spent Tuesday putting up signs and barrels at mile marker 11.95, just east of the Dallas Pike exit.

The West Virginia Division of Highways says the closures measure less than a mile in each direction.

Drivers are asked to be patient and expect delays.
