April 8, 2024 - The Coal Markets Report has been updated for the business week ending April 5, 2024.

For the week, spot prices:

• Increased $1.85 to $77.35/short ton in Central Appalachia
• Increased $1.20 to $49.70/short ton in Northern Appalachia
• Increased $0.50 to $43.50/short ton in the Illinois Basin
• Decreased $0.20 to $25.30/short ton in the Uinta Basin

Prices remained unchanged in the Powder River Basin at $13.65/short ton

Spot prices are in dollars per short ton and are for delivery in the third quarter of 2024.
