April 23, 2024 - A major coal show bringing a multitude of companies and professionals in the coal industry to Mercer County, WV is now scheduled to open in September 2025

The Chamber of Commerce of the Two Virginias has announced the 25th biennial Bluefield Coal and Mining Show is set for the week of Sept. 9 to Sept. 12, 2025.

The show is a vital part of the area's blue-collar history and connects the working personnel to the latest mining innovations in today's industry, organizers said. The Bluefield Coal & Mining Show is the time for celebrating the mining industry and for providing connectivity between the buyers and sellers.

According to Show Chairman Bob Ramsey, of Peters Equipment, the show's success is due to the hard work of the Coal & Mining Executive Committee, hard-working volunteers, and the chamber staff.

Activities planned for the 2025 Bluefield Coal and Mining Show include live interviews during the show and networking opportunities, along with live demonstrations and the latest in technology and equipment.

With around 200 exhibitors in 2022, the chamber is planning for a major coal show in 2025 with the motto: "A Show for Mining: Our Past, Present, Future."

Another event for the coal industry, the three-day Bluefield Coal Symposium, is coming to the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton on August 12 to 14.

While the September 2025 coal show will be a large industry event, the symposium is more of a coal industry conference. It will feature smaller tabletop exhibits, speakers and entertainment, according to Jeff Disibbio, President and CEO of the Chamber.
