MSHA Updates its Database After Mining Accident

The Mine Safety and Health Administration has updated its database to include details on a recent coal mine accident that injured six workers.
The incident happened on October 10 at Sunrise Coal Mine in Knox County, Indiana when a shuttle vehicle carrying the miners collided with a coal wall.
Three workers sustained head-related injuries, including facial lacerations and a concussion, while two employees suffered fractured knees.
Additional injuries included arm and leg issues. The updated information provides more insight into the severity of the accident.
