Marketer of the Year Award for Glittering Career in Marketing

Dungannon, Northern Ireland, November 10, 2014 – Marketing Manager from Terex Washing Systems, Elaine Donaghy, picked up the prestigious “Marketer of the Year” 2014 award at the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Ireland Marketing Excellence Awards.  A ceremony was held in the Belfast City Hall, N.Ireland, on 6th November 2014.

 

Elaine Donaghy of Dungannon-based Company Terex Washing Systems joined an illustrious group of Irish marketers when she scooped the Marketer of the Year at the CIM Ireland Marketing Excellence Awards. Elaine won the award for spearheading the company’s comprehensive and innovative global marketing strategy.  Winning the CIM Marketer of the year category is the business award that all marketers aspire to. It’s open to entries from individuals, in any organisation or sector, who have demonstrated exceptional marketing skills, knowledge and initiative throughout the last 12 months.

 

Commenting on her award, Elaine stated “To be awarded Marketer of the Year award is undoubtedly the pinnacle of my career.  Gaining this level of recognition from the leading international professional marketing body, Chartered Institute of Marketing Ireland, is an absolute honor. I have been a marketing professional for over 10 years now and was appointed marketing manager for Terex Washing Systems just over two years ago.   From the outset I strived to deliver innovative and compelling promotions and campaigns as well as embracing the objective to gain marketing excellence and stand out in what is a difficult and competitive environment. This has been achieved through the use of a variety of relevant platforms and activities on a global level.  I am absolutely delighted to receive this award which acknowledges my achievement and also recognizes the positive values that effective marketing has had on TWS.  I look forward to further opportunities and challenges and endeavor to continually deliver marketing excellence campaigns for the continued success of our business” 

 

Presenter Sara Travers announcing Elaine as the winner said it went to a person who has had a glittering career in Marketing.  “Her submission was excellent providing clear and defined results as a marketer who worked on multiple projects which met team objectives and helped to communicate the true personality of their business,” she added.

 

Elaine was unable to pick up her award as she was attending another awards ceremony in Amsterdam but her award was accepted on her behalf by company colleague Gary Stewart from award sponsor, Mukesh Sharma, Managing Director of Selective Travel.

 

TWS were highly commended for a second award, “Marketing Exporter of the Year” for using effective marketing to gain a competitive advantage on a global level.  The hottest marketing campaigns from every business sector were recognised at the 15th annual awards ceremony at Belfast City Hall. Christine Watson, Chair of CIM’s Ireland Board commented “These awards recognise the impact that marketing has on the economy in Northern Ireland and the hard work and dedication of people working in this profession. We’ve recognised 15 individuals and companies and commended many more for delivering marketing campaigns which played a major part in the success of our recovering economy,”
