Washington, D.C., November 26, 2014 – U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez and Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety and Health Joseph A. Main will visit Cumberland Coal Resources LP’s Cumberland Mine in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, on Monday, Dec. 1. Cumberland is an affiliate of Alpha Natural Resources, headquartered in Bristol, Virginia. Secretary Perez will tour the underground operations and meet with miners, mine management and representatives from the United Mine Workers of America.

Secretary Perez and Assistant Secretary Main will be available to speak with reporters when it concludes at 3:20 p.m. EST.
