April 17, 2025 - EIA has updated the Weekly Coal Production report for the week ending April 12, 2025.

• Estimated U.S. coal production totaled about 9.2 million short tons (MMst)
• This production estimate is 10.6% lower than last week's estimate and 13.5% higher than the production estimate in the comparable week in 2024
• East of the Mississippi River coal production totaled 4.4 MMst
• West of the Mississippi River coal production totaled 4.8 MMst
• U.S. year-to-date coal production totaled 146.3 MMst, 1.4% higher than the comparable year-to-date coal production in 2024
