A Message from Donna Schmidt, the editor of North American Mining and Coal Trends magazines.
As I write this letter, we are putting the final finishing touches on the America’s Coal Revolution conference.
This exciting, new conference from SEMCO Publishing, has been a labor of love for our entire staff. For nearly a year, we have pored over potential speakers and shortlisted themes that would inform you about coal's new opportunities in the United States.
We'll be discussing rare earths, research and development, new technologies, future uses of coal and its byproducts, the latest legislative news, and more.
We hope you’ll join us for every session over this two-day event. We will feature a crucial keynote presentations from CORE Resources’ Jimmy Brock and Mike Woloschuck from Ramaco Resources. The head of the American Coal Council, Emily Arthun, will deliver a luncheon keynote addressing advocacy for the coal industry.
At the end of Day 1, you're invited to enjoy a drink and light hors d'oeuvres during our welcome reception at the conference venue, the Hilton Garden Inn-Southpointe.
If you have an interest in coal —and the forces shaping its future—you will want to be present for America's Coal Revolution.
We’d love your feedback after the conference, and we’re already looking for speakers for America’s Coal Revolution 2026. If you would like to secure a speaking opportunity or sponsorship for your group, reach out
to me at editor@northamericanmining.com.
We will look forward to seeing you at America’s Coal Revolution 2025!
Best,
Donna Schmidt
