Three Miners Injured in West Virginia Coal Mine Accident
November 21, 2025 - Three miners were injured Wednesday morning in an accident at the Loveridge Coal Mine in Fairview, WV.
According to Marion County 911, two vehicles collided head-on on the mine tracks at approximately 9:42 a.m.
Two of the miners were transported to the hospital by the Marion County Rescue Squad, while a third miner declined medical transport.
Officials have not released details on the extent of the injuries.
The Hundred Volunteer Fire Department also assisted emergency personnel at the scene.
The Loveridge Coal Mine is owned by American Consolidated Natural Resources, Inc.
No further details about the cause of the accident have been released.
