December 6, 2025 - A group in West Virginia is making preparations to give back to the community that supports them.

Volunteers were on hand packing boxes to prepare for the Friends of Coal Ladies Auxiliary’s annual Giving Hearts Charitable Distribution.

Each year, the group collects donations of toys and clothing to give back to families in need, as well as families of deployed service members.

Members of the organization say the giveaway would not be possible without the assistance of partners like the Fraternal Order of Police and the Greenbrier Resort.

The distribution event is happening on Friday, December 12, and they could still use help from the local community to reach their goal for this year.
