Dear IMI Members, Vendors, and Industry Partners,
The Illinois Mining Institute (IMI) has scheduled its 2026 Annual Meeting for Wednesday, June 24th, and we would like to extend our appreciation to everyone who participated in last year’s event. The success of the 2025 meeting was due in large part to your involvement, from an excellent lineup of speakers to increased attendance at both the Annual Meeting and the Illinois State Mine Rescue Contest.
We invite you to register again this year, as several important updates have been made to the 2026 program.
Key Updates for 2026
- Mine Rescue Competition in the Pavilion
- IMI and the Illinois Mine Rescue Association (IMRA) have agreed to hold the mine rescue competition inside the Pavilion. A layout of the Pavilion exhibit area, including fields and vendor locations, is attached.
- Expanded Participation: Metal/Nonmetal Teams
- This year’s contest will include metal/nonmetal mine rescue teams. With several such teams located throughout the region, IMI and IMRA felt it was important to broaden the competition.
- Awards Ceremony in the Pavilion
- The mine rescue awards ceremony will take place in the Pavilion following the competition. Refreshments will be provided, and vendors are welcome to attend.
- Early Bird Vendor Registration Discount
- New for 2026, vendors who register before May 1st will receive:
- $50 off a 10’ x 10’ booth
- $100 off a 20’ x 20’ booth
- $20 registration fee for IMI Annual Meeting
- With registration you receive the following:
- Yearly IMI membership
- Entrance into Tuesday evening reception
- Entrance into Pavilion which includes:
- Illinois State Mine Rescue Competition
- Vendor exhibit area
- Entrance into the Wednesday evening awards ceremony
Your participation continues to make this event a success, and we are confident that this year’s meeting will be better than ever. We encourage you to make plans to join us.
