Experience The Quality Within Every Cat® Reman Fuel Injector
April 16, 2026 - Tough. Tested. Trusted. Cat® Reman fuel injectors are remanufactured to like-new performance — and pass the exact same testing points as new Cat injectors. Keep scrolling to discover the process and engineering precision behind the power.
Disassembly & Cleaning
Acceptable end-of-life injectors, or core, are taken to a state-of-the-art Cat Reman facility. There, each injector is disassembled to its smallest piece parts and thoroughly cleaned using agitation, turbulence and a high-power ultrasonic process that penetrates even the smallest cavities.
General Inspection
We check for abnormalities using high-precision magnification, followed by a flow test to make sure all openings are free of obstructions.
Salvage
Materials are carefully added, ground, honed and bored to original Caterpillar component design specifications. Then, they’re final tested to confirm no defects were missed.
Assembly & Testing
Each individual component is tested prior to assembly, including tips, nozzles, plungers and solenoids. All Cat Reman fuel injectors pass the exact same testing points as new Cat fuel injectors, including:
- A fuel delivery vs. timing range to prevent low power, misfires and poor fuel economy
- Fuel system performance and defects test where every injector receives a unique calibration code based on the test measurements — something only an OEM like Caterpillar can do
- Stringent injector leakage specifications to avoid fuel-to-oil dilution and premature component wear
- An electric trim code designed to tune delivery and timing to meet strict emissions and performance standards
Quality Control
Fully assembled injectors are measured in climate-controlled conditions and calibrated with certified equipment. Each Cat Reman fuel injector is end-of-line tested to like-new specifications and performance — matching the standards of a new part. Only after passing all tests will the injector be assigned a unique identity and Cat Reman part number.
