April 20, 2026 - After declining for the fourth consecutive month, production of all kinds of coal in Russia's Kuzbass Region reached 15.1 million tonnes in March, down another 3.8% on month, Mysteel Global calculated based on the latest data from the Ministry of Coal Industry of Kuzbass.

On a yearly basis, the March output was lower by a larger 10%. Cumulative output over January-March reached 46.6 million tonnes, also down 7.5% from the same period last year, according to the data.
