June 14, 2026 - Mining professionals traded helmets and boots for golf shirts and clubs to raise money for a good cause.

The men and women gathered for the 20th annual Friends of Coal Ladies Auxiliary Golf Tournament on the Cobb Course at Glade Springs Resort, Daniels, West Virginia. 

The volunteer group of ladies works together to support the mining industry, educate children, provide scholarships, and support military and civilian families in need.

The ladies hold multiple functions throughout the year to raise money, but say the golf tournament is their biggest fundraising event.

Participants also have the opportunity to go home with a prize from the table, valued at $10,000.
