Eriez B-HC Feeders Earn ETL Listing, Achieve CSA/UL Compliance and IP65 Rating

July 17, 2026 - Eriez® has announced that its B-HC high-capacity line of electromagnetic vibratory feeders has earned ETL listing through Intertek for CSA and UL compliance and has also achieved an IP65 rating, confirming dust- and water-tight performance for the most demanding processing environments.

The B-HC line offers the widest capacity range in the industry. Capable of delivering controlled amounts from just a few kilograms to 1,089 metric tonnes (1,200 tons) of bulk material per hour.  Their exceptionally high throughput supports heavy-duty applications in mining, aggregates, minerals, and bulk processing.

“These certifications validate the durability customers have already experienced in the field,” said Clay O’Dana, Eriez Global Product Manager–Vibratory. “With CSA/UL and IP65 ratings, operators now have an added layer of confidence that these feeders can stand up to any challenge.”

The B-HC line incorporates Eriez’ rare earth permanent magnetic armature assembly, applying power in both forward and reverse tray directions for precise linearity and control. Its epoxy-encased coil-and-magnet assembly protects against dust and moisture, prevents coil movement, and extends service life. A compact, energy-efficient AC control system with accelerometer feedback provides accurate, variable-speed feed rate control. By eliminating sliding and rotating parts, the system reduces frictional losses, lowers energy consumption, and minimizes maintenance.

The dust- and water-tight construction makes B-HC feeders well suited for:

  • Mining and aggregates: handling coal, ore, sand, silica, slag, and similar materials
  • Minerals and abrasives: precisely feeding and screening hard, abrasive materials
  • Bulk processing: metering powders, granules, and many other dry bulk materials

B-HC feeders are designed for headload applications beneath hoppers, metering bulk materials to conveyors, screens, crushers, and elevators. Trays are available in both standard and custom-engineered designs, with optional dust covers, screens, and abrasion-resistant liners. Flexible mounting options include base-mounted or suspension, with undermount or overhead drive configurations.
