Sandvik Posts Record Q2 Results and Expands Downstream Mining Portfolio

July 19, 2026 - Sandvik reported a strong second quarter, with total order intake rising 17% to SEK 37.8 billion and revenues up 24% to SEK 36.8 billion, driven by double-digit organic growth. Adjusted EBITA jumped 48% to SEK 8.3 billion, lifting the margin to 22.6%, while profit for the period surged 63%, although free operating cash flow declined.

The Mining and Rock Processing units delivered robust growth, supported by high aftermarket demand and new automation and electrification launches such as AutoMine Aura and all-electric drill rigs. Machining and Intelligent Manufacturing also saw strong increases in orders and revenues, helped by aerospace and defense demand and a fast-growing software subscription business, while the acquisition of Italy’s Diemme Filtration expands Sandvik into a profitable downstream mining niche with attractive structural growth.
