August 6, 2026 - Did you know that August 10th-16th is National Safe and Sound Week? OSHA and the U.S. Department of Labor work together to provide resources on workplace safety, celebrate our successes in keeping workers safe, and offer ideas and support for how to improve the safety of your workplace. 

There’s nothing more important than worker safety at the UWUA. That’s why we’re inviting all our locals to participate in Safe & Sound Week! Make a plan to raise awareness by posting on social media or asking members to sign a safety pledge, or educate members on how to make their job sites safer.
