August 19, 2026 - Millions of dollars worth of mining and heavy construction equipment, including massive Caterpillar haul trucks, dozers and loaders, will hit the auction block next month in Eastern Kentucky.
Maynards, a global industrial asset disposition and auction company, will conduct a live webcast auction of equipment from Clintwood JOD on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. ET. The equipment is located at 15888 Ferrells Creek Road in Belcher, in Pike County, and includes machinery from some of the world’s largest heavy-equipment manufacturers. The auction could attract interest well beyond Kentucky from mining companies, construction contractors, aggregate producers and equipment dealers seeking newer heavy machinery without the potentially lengthy lead times associated with buying new equipment. Among the equipment highlighted for the sale is a 2023 Caterpillar D11T dozer, a large crawler dozer designed for demanding mining and earthmoving operations. A 2009 Caterpillar 785D haul truck is also among the assets being marketed for the auction. Additional equipment includes a Case TR270B CTL skid steer, Shuttlewagon railcar mover and John Deere 6125M tractor. The scale and variety of equipment could make the Kentucky auction particularly attractive to businesses operating in mining, quarrying, aggregates and heavy construction. Manufacturers represented in the sale include Caterpillar, John Deere, Volvo, Komatsu, Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco and Superior.
