September 25, 2026 - Dark Hollow, a fictional Appalachian creature feature, will screen in Charleston and Huntington in October, with a Beckley screening also announced.

The film follows a young mother protecting her family from a monster emerging from a coal mine. It was filmed in West Virginia, including around Spruce Knob and underground in Beckley. Its fictional story explores family, land and extraction.

People with coal-industry connections are invited to attend and form their own opinions. The invitation is for a cultural event and does not represent an industry endorsement.
